Resource Group - easyJet Recruitment Privacy Policy

1. Resource Group and its group of businesses (RCL, FCS and ATT) (us, we, our) understand that your privacy is important to the applicant (you, your). We may process your personal data in our capacity as a data controller for legitimate purposes as described in this Privacy notice.

2. The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) describes Personal Data (data) as any information relating to a natural person who can be directly or indirectly identified in particular by reference to an identifier. The personal data we collect relates to any data you input to the application portal and includes, but is not limited to, your name and your address.

Sensitive personal data is data which is described in Article 9 of GDPR as that relating to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership, and the processing of genetic data, biometric data for the purpose of uniquely identifying a natural person, data concerning health or data concerning a natural person's sex life or sexual orientation. We will not collect sensitive data, unless required to do so by law.

3. By submitting personal data to us, you are consenting to us using the data as described in this privacy notice. You should be aware that the consequences of not consenting to us using your data as described in this privacy notice will prevent us from processing your application further. 4. We will process your personal data in accordance with this privacy notice, unless such processing conflicts with the requirements of applicable law, in which case, applicable law will prevail.

The data is stored on secure servers and is maintained by a 3rd party supplier, who has demonstrated the necessary technical and organisational measures to ensure your data is stored securely.
The personal data you provide will be used to determine your suitability for the job role to which this application relates. The data may be shared with the prospective employers, easyJet, as part of the selection process.

5. If you consent, then your personal data will be processed as follows:

  1. Your personal data will be stored on a secure server which has access limited to members of the recruitment selection team.
  2. Your personal data may be shared with EASYJET recruitment staff. EASYJET can, if required, produce their own privacy notice by contacting them directly.
  3. Your personal data will be retained securely in the recruitment database for up to 6 months. If you are successful and accept employment the information may be used to form part of your personal records with EASYJET.

6. Successful candidates will also be required to provide further personal data which will be processed for the following lawful purposes:

  1. Applications to third parties concerning security checks.
  2. Background checks through the Disbarment and Barring Service.
  3. Checks with nominated referees.

7. Under article 5 of GDPR personal data shall be:

  1. Processed lawfully - The lawful basis for processing your data is through the consent as described in para 3 of this notice.
  2. Collected for explicit specified purposes - These purposes are described para 5 & 6 of this notice.
  3. Adequate, relevant and limited - All data we collect from you forms a necessary part of the recruitment process.
  4. Accurate and kept up to date - The data we process is supplied by you and you are responsible for its accuracy. Any changes to the supplied data will require you to notify Resource Group during the recruitment process retention period as detailed in para 5c of this notice.
  5. Personal data will be kept for no longer than necessary - Personal data is retained for 6 months as detailed in para 5. After this it may be kept as part of your personal record.
  6. Processed in a manner that ensures security of data - Data is stored on secure servers within the EU. The data is only accessible by persons involved in the recruitment process. Technical and organisational measures are in place to ensure this security.

8. Your rights as a data subject - At any point while we are in possession of or processing your personal data, you have the following rights:

  1. Right of access – you have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you.
  2. Right of rectification – you have a right to correct data that we hold about you that is inaccurate or incomplete. See para 7d.
  3. Right to be forgotten – in certain circumstances you can ask for the data we hold about you to be erased from our records.
  4. Right to restriction of processing – where certain conditions apply, you have a right to restrict the processing.
  5. Right of portability – you have the right to have the data we hold about you transferred to another organisation.
  6. Right to object – you have the right to object to certain types of processing such as direct marketing.
  7. Right to object to automated processing, including profiling – you also have the right to be subject to the legal effects of automated processing or profiling.
  8. Right to judicial review: in the event that Resource Group refuses your request under rights of access, we will provide you with a reason as to why. In the event that you wish to make a complaint about how your personal data is being processed by Resource Group, or how your complaint has been handled, you have the right to lodge a complaint directly with the supervisory authority and Resource Group’s Data Protection Officer.
